Bénoc: Bergerac Rouge AOC (2010)

 

Grape variety: Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%)

Characteristics: Deep red colour, very aromatic on the nose with flavours of red berry fruits. The palate is supple and fruity leading to a well-rounded finish with light nutty notes. This is a highly approachable wine.

At its best with: Enjoy with simple roasted or grilled pork or chicken dishes or a cheese platter. Great to drink now, or over the next 4 to 5 years. Serve at 16-18°C.

Château les Vigonies (2011)

 

Grape variety: Merlot (90%) and Malbec (10%).

Characteristics: Beautiful garnet-red robe, this wine has an expressive nose with red berry notes. It is mouth-filling and is nicely rounded on the palate with a pleasant slight earthy finish. It was awarded silver medal at the 2012 “Concours Général Agricole de Paris”.

At its best with: Perfect with roasted or grilled meats as well as a cheese platter. Ready to drink now, or over the next 4 to 5 years. Serve at 16-18°C.

Sigoulès: Bergerac Rouge AOC (2011)

 

Grape variety: Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (40%).

Characteristics: Intense colour with ripe red berry fruits aromas, it is a full and generous wine with well balanced tannins and a finish delivering vanilla and toasty notes.  It was awarded silver medal at the 2013 “Concours Agricole Paris”.

At its best with: Roast chicken, game and delicate cheeses, such as Maroilles or Camembert. Decant and serve at 18°C.

L'Audace: Bergerac Rouge AOC (2011)

 

Grape variety: Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).

Characteristics: Manual harvesting to guarantee optimal quality of the grapes which are then carefully selected on the sorting table to keep only the best grapes. The grapes are exclusively aged in oak barrels over a period of 12 months.

Deep colour with dark glints. The nose is complex with aromas of prunes and gingerbread.  It has a great texture and length with a round, well-balanced finish. It was awarded silver medal at the 2013 “Concours des Vins de Macon”.

At its best with: Hearty meat or game dishes or cheese platter. It will improve with age if kept in good cellar conditions for up to 10 years. Serve at room temperature (19 to 22°C).

Doméa: Bergerac Rosé AOC (2013)

 

Grape variety: Merlot (65%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%).

Characteristics: A bright pink rosé with floral and candied notes. It has a delicate and yet lively, particularly refreshing palate with a complex finish. This is a lovely dry and fruity rosé.

At its best with: Great on its own as an apéritif (especially in the summer!), it will also nicely accompany most starters or light mains such as cold meat platters or grilled meats. Serve chilled at 10-12°C.

Bergerac Blanc Sec AOC "Pélissière" (2013)

 

Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc (80%), Sémillon (20%).

Characteristics: Clear hue with slight green tinges, it has a very aromatic and vibrant nose. In the mouth, it is light, very crisp and fruity with lingering citrus fruit flavours.

At its best with: Very refreshing on its own but will also nicely pair up with grilled fish or a seafood platter. Serve chilled at 8°C.

Bergerac Blanc Moelleux AOC "Pélissière" (2011)

 

Grape variety: Semillon (100%).

Characteristics: Bright light yellow colour with a complex nose of mango and acacia flowers. It has a rich palate and is sweet, but not overly sweet, to the taste with a lovely long finish.

At its best with: Any pudding (particularly chocolate-based ones), crumbly blue cheeses or on its own as an aperitif. Serve chilled at 8°C.

Grape variety: Sauvignon (90%) and Semillon (10%).

Characteristics: Bright, pale yellow colour with slight green tinges. Notes of blackcurrant buds and white flowers with a citrus fruits finish. It is a well-balanced dry white wine, elegant and aromatic. It was awarded silver medal at the 2013 Paris wine Festival.

At its best with: Any fish or seafood based dishes. Serve chilled at 8°C.

Rose de Sigoulès: Bergerac Blanc AOC (2012)

 

Grape variety: Sauvignon (over 90%) and Semillon.

Characteristics: Yellow colour with green tinges. The nose is very lively and intense with aromas dominated by white flowers.It is quite zesty on the palate, and yet nicely balanced, with tropical fruit flavours alongside floral, oaky notes. Long finish with hints of grilled almonds.It was awarded silver medal at the 2013 “Concours Mondial du Sauvignon”.

At its best with: Seafood and fish in sauce dishes. Serve at 10°C.

Grape variety: Semillon and Sauvignon.

Characteristics: Pale yellow colour with aromas of white-fleshed fruits, this wine carries lots of fine bubbles.

Characteristics: Very fresh and lively nose with delicate aromas of small red berry fruits. The palate is explosive with notes of strawberry and a good silky length.

Champagne Alain Bernard: Tradition Blanc Brut

 

Grape variety: A beautiful balance of the three varieties of grapes (60% Chardonnay,35% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier).

Characteristics: Exclusively produced from Premiers Crus and from Grands Crus (the best wines). The finesse of the bubbles and the pure flavour is a result of centuries-old methods which guarantee an optimal quality champagne.

At its best with: Easy to drink, it will be perfect as an aperitif as well as for the rest of the evening. It is the wine of conviviality itself. Serve chilled at 8°C.
